Exciting news!
The Lacombe Art Guild is hosting another plein air event with Come Paint Alberta, and you’re invited! This time, we are holding a two da weekend event, and the opportunity to be a part of the a show and sale for works created.
Dates:
June 20th & 21st, 2026 - Plein Air Painting Days
June 23rd - July 31st, 2026: Show and sale with Lacombe Performing Arts Centre
Fees:
Free - No cost to attend if you just would like to come out and paint!
$25 non-refundable one time fee to register for those wishing to participate in the selling and display of your creations after this two day event (in partnership with the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre). This will kick off with a opening night June 23rd from 7pm to 9pm.
Check in locations & time:
June 20th, 2026
10am to noon get your canvas stamped at the Lacombe Memorial Centre Gazebo - If you are participating in the show and sale, your work must be returned back to us between 3pm to 4pm.
June 21st, 2026
10am to noon get your canvas stamped at the Ellis Nature Centre Gazebo - If you are participating in the show and sale, your work must be returned back to us between 3pm to 4pm

No restriction on the medium, style, or subject
No limit on amount of works made
This event is free to attend for those who wish to just come and paint with us! Come by during check in time and say hello, and get your canvas stamped.
For those wishing to be in our show and sale (in partnership with the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre for a six week showcase in their facility) a one time non-refundable registration fee of $25 will be applicable.

All returned works from the plein air painting dates will be taken to be displayed at the venue on the gallery wall of the Lacombe Ford Lobby at the LPAC (we will hang works for all participating artists). Please be prepared to name your work, list the medium, provide an etransfer email, and set a price for the work.
Opening reception to take place: June 23rd from 7pm - 9pm
Exhibit showcase & sale will run from June 23rd to July 31st of 2026
Sales → Any artwork sold will be divided into the following: 15% proceeds to the Lacombe Art Guild | 15% proceeds to the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre | 70% proceeds to the artist

Lest We Forget Park - Lacombe Memorial Centre
The courtyard area of the LMC are always filled with beautiful florals! It is a beautiful spot to spend time painting - there is a gazebo, an outdoor stage, and a stunning statue on the grounds. Inside you can enjoy a stop by the cafe, and be sure to take a walk of the interior to admire local works by our guild and other local artists to the area!
Murals found throughout the City
Draw inspiration from a self guided tour of the murals found within the City of Lacombe. You could take a walk and enjoy the artwork as you decide on a good spot to start your creation!
Ellis Nature Centre
Promoting environmental education and wildlife conservation, monitor and conduct research on mountain bluebirds, tree swallows and purple martins.
