Time to spend a day getting creative with the Lacombe Art Guild!
Date: August 29th, 2026 (Saturday)
Time: 10am to 4pm
Location: Lacombe Memorial Centre | downstairs in the South County Room (5214 50 Ave, Lacombe, AB)
Open to ages 16 and up
Cost: FREE to attend
Theme: traditional medicine bags
Lead by Kohkum Philean and Elder Linda
Smudge and prayer to start, followed by learning how to make a traditional medicine bag workshop out of leather. Once you have made your medicine bag you can choose to use beads and paints to complete the creation.
Not sure what to paint on your medicine bag? There will be a demo, and examples. You are also welcomed to bring whatever references you might wish to add to your creations.
Please note: this class is by registration only, and has a maximum student number of 20
