This class will go over the basics to layering and developing your pumpkin scene. A sample will be provided that students can follow, of one main pumpkin up close with a smaller pumpkin tucked in beside.
You are encouraged to bring a reference of a pumpkin you might like to do, or even bring a real one should you like a still life to look at while working.
Supply List:
Watercolours - work with what you have! Bring what you would typically work with for colours and brushes
Paintbrushes - My go to brushes include a filbert (8 and 12), a liner brush, and sometimes a flat 1” brush
Painters tape
Two cups for water (clear jars are always recommended)
2H pencil, gum eraser
Graphite or we will use the windows for light for tracing should you want to use the reference
Water resist
Paper towel
If you plan to add in words on top, you could also bring supplies to draw it in or you could paint them in with a liner brush
