How we select instructors:
Annual General Meetings -> we ask our members what they want to see brought in! Their feedback along with the LAG board input all helps to determine the kinds of instructors we hope to book. With an aim to bring in teachers who can help introduce new mediums, subjects, and styles to all levels of artists from beginner to advanced!
The information you send us -> It always helps if you send us an initial email or give a call to chat first so that we get to hear about you! Information that is handy includes if you have taught in the past and what your experience level is as an instructor. Include what mediums, subjects, and styles you work in, the class size you’re comfortable with, and what your instructor fees are based on the time length:
Lessons & Classes: 1hr to 2.5hrs total
Workshops: 5hrs instructional total -> 10am to 4pm (break for lunch is 12pm - 1pm)
Other sources → we ask members through emails and forms for their recommendations, ask our neighbouring art groups, follow local art newsletters, and watch online for postings about instructors!
